'Injury Assessment Skills for Care Home Staff' courses coordinated by South West Seminars and delivered by highly qualified paramedics. This course was initially designed for the North Cornwall District Council where it successfully reduced its unnecessary hospital admissions by providing staff members with a robust set of client assessment skills and the confidence to apply them safely and appropriately. In turn this enabled a high percentage of clients to be totally assessed and managed in their own environment, by their own staff whilst working alongside any 'No Lifting Policy' your organisation may hold. The course is designed and managed by one of the UK's most respected Emergency Care Practitioners. The course can be customised to suit the specific needs of your organisation or the specific client type you may work with.
Certification
Successful candidates will receive a full certificate of attendance for their own portfolio and a signed learner outcome plan for their employee record.
Your home will also receive the 'Risk and Injury Assessment Checklist' form to help make your documentation of injuries efficient, timely and sufficiently detailed.
